Volkswagen Polo GT - the new sporty, dynamic special model

Tight sports suspension and impressive 16-inch alloy wheels as standard

Wolfsburg. With the Polo GT, a dynamic and attractive special model, Volkswagen has extended the already comprehensive Polo range. The special feature of the Polo GT is the comprehensive, sporty equipment package with price savings of up to 772 euros. The striking appearance of the special model is emphasised by the "Montrael II" 16-inch alloy wheels with 205/45 R 16 tyres, the GT logo on the tailgate and radiator grill, as well as darkened rear lights and side-mounted turn signals. There is more to this Polo than just sporty looks: the GT is fitted as standard with sports suspension which has stiffer springs and shock absorbers and is lowered by 15 millimetres.

To match the individual character of the Polo GT, this special model has a sporty exclusive interior. The standard version of the special model includes sports seats in the front, aluminium trims, chrome trims on the instrument cluster and a leather package (comprising of steering wheel, gearstick gaiter, gearstick knob and handbrake lever). Extras such as electric front windows, central locking and "alpha" radio system round off the GT equipment package.

As for power, three petrol and three diesel engines with a power output ranging from 75 HP to 130 HP are used for the Polo GT. The new top performance engine matches the character of the GT well. Thanks to the latest direct injection unit injectors, the 1.9-litre TDI engine not only has a power output of 130 HP but also a torque of 310 newton metres. With this engine, the Polo has a top speed of 206 km/h and accelerates to 100 km/h in 9.3 seconds.

The two and four-door Polo GT is available from 14.900 euros. The Volkswagen bank offers attractive financing. For example the monthly rate with "AutoCredit" three-way financing is only 150 euros, for a down payment of 20%, a credit term of 36 months and an effective annual interest rate of 3.9%.
