Renault and Albateam plan to form a partnership to promote the development of CATRenault is planning to create a partnership with the consortium Albateam (1) to take over the operations of Compagnie d'Affrètement et de Transport (CAT), now a subsidiary of the Renault Group. This partnership would position CAT among the leading global players in logistics and would secure its future growth in a highly competitive market. The plan - for which discussions are well underway but not finalized - is for Albateam to acquire 100% of CAT. Renault would acquire a 20% interest in the equity of Albateam, with TNT (TPG Group), Wallenius Lines and Autologic Holding plc acquiring the remaining 80%. This change in the shareholder structure would not have any effect on the labour contracts and collective agreements covering the 2,534 people employed by the CAT Group. (1) Albateam is backed by Autologic Holding plc (a British company, specializing in the transportation of new vehicles), TNT (TPG Group) -specialist in car spare parts logistics- and Wallenius Lines (a Swedish shipping company).
